5th International Conference – Social Networks, Digital Traces and Electronic Communication
Le Havre (France) – June 6th, 7th and 8th, 2018

It is with great pleasure that the Information & Communication Department organizes the fifth edition of its international conference devoted to electronic communication. Entitled “Social Networks, Digital Traces and Electronic Communication “, it will take place on June 6th, 7th and 8th, 2018.

Our wish to continue mobilizing the researchers around this theme is accounted for it being in the centre of the scientific research of the Le Havre team (Axis 4: Digital Societies, UMR IDEES). It is also motivated by the fact that electronic communication concerns men and women of the whole world, all the time. It is an inexhaustible major and interdisciplinary topic which is likely to stimulate great scientific exchanges.

This event will be organized in a classical way around the plenary sessions and workshops where the researchers will present their works. It will also be accompanied with social and cultural activities (cultural visit, gala dinner) which will constitute a moment and a place of exchange in a less formal context, meanwhile stimulating the strengthening and the creation of new links between the participants coming from different countries.

Such a conference would not be able to take place without the support of numerous partners. The organisation committee is eager to thank the administration of the IUT of Le Havre, as well as all the institutions, public and private, which agreed to support us again this year.

We also appreciate the work of all the members of the organisation committee and of the Information & Communication Department. We express our gratitude for their contribution to the success of this event.
